Job Full Description
Do you enjoy working outdoors and staying active throughout the day? We're seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join a local waste collection team. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in providing excellent service, and wants the opportunity to earn a permanent position with a great employer.
Job Summary
- Roll residential rubbish bins from the curb to the collection truck
- Hook bins to the truck's lifting mechanism and operate the lever to empty contents
- Collect rubbish along assigned residential routes
- Perform heavy lifting and continuous physical labor throughout the workday
- Power wash rubbish bins and collection equipment as needed
- Clean and maintain trucks, tools, and equipment
- Provide courteous customer service when interacting with residents
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Experience Required
- Previous experience in general labor, sanitation, or other physically demanding work is preferred
- Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions is a plus
- Customer service experience is beneficial but not required
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for the duration of the shift
- Able to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy rubbish bins
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team
- Strong attention to safety practices
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers when needed

Position Type: Contract to Hire
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM
