Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a local team. This hands-on role is responsible for operating and programming CNC equipment, inspecting finished parts, making necessary machine offsets, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate has CNC experience and is comfortable using precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
Job Summary
- Operate and program CNC machines, including Puma GT 2600, Doosan, and HAAS equipment
- Set and adjust machine offsets as needed to maintain accurate part dimensions
- Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and verify they meet specifications
- Read and understand machine parameters and calibration requirements
- Sand and deburr finished parts
- Remove and properly dispose of metal shavings
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience Required
- 1 year of CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to make machine adjustments and offsets based on measurements
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other precision measuring tools
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret measurements, machine parameters, and specifications
- Comfortable using buttons and controls for machine calibration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify when a part is out of specification and make appropriate adjustments
- Safety-conscious and dependable
- Willingness to perform hands-on tasks such as sanding and deburring
- Ability to keep work areas clean and organized
