Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Overhead Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent, hands-on experience installing, servicing, and repairing industrial overhead door systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain industrial overhead doors and related components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues
- Replace springs, cables, rollers, tracks, motors, and openers
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Ensure proper alignment, balance, and operation of door systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations
- Complete service documentation accurately and timely
- Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Industrial Overhead Door Technician (required)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely work with high-tension springs and heavy equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work at heights when necessary
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
