Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to oversee the comprehensive waste management program at a local manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant collection, transportation, consolidation, and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste across the site.
Starting Pay: $22.25/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift: 4:30PM - 1:00 AM
Responsibilities:

Waste Collection and Transportation:
- Perform site-wide collection, transportation, consolidation, and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste.
- Provide on-call pickup and transport services for waste generated on-site.

Compliance Management:
- Ensure waste containers and labeling are accurate and compliant with RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Handle and store waste in a manner and timeframe that meets all regulatory requirements.
- Prepare documentation for all waste shipments covered under this Agreement.

Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by offering new and/or empty containers to waste generators for continued accumulation as needed.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations related to waste management.
- Implement and enforce waste management policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate disposal and manage recovery service scheduling for all by-products.

Scheduling and Communication:
- Schedule waste and empty container shipments efficiently.
- Formally communicate all scheduled activities to relevant stakeholders.

Staff Supervision:
- Oversee waste management activities during when there is an onsite staffing presence.
- Train and supervise staff involved in waste management activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Previous experience in waste management or related field.
- Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willing to receive Hazardous Material Training
