Location: Lafayette, IN
Pay: $25.00/hour (Day & Night Shifts)
Schedule:

Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM

Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM (Start Monday night, end Saturday morning)
Type: Full-Time, Evaluation to Hire

Express Employment Professionals – Lafayette is hiring two Rubber Mixing Operators for a local manufacturing company. These are full-time, evaluation-to-hire opportunities with great long-term potential. Both candidates will attend orientation on day shift the week of August 25, then move into their assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate rubber and plastic compounding equipment using computer-controlled systems
-
Monitor material levels and maintain a continuous production flow

Review lab results to ensure product quality meets specifications
-
Troubleshoot equipment and resolve minor machine issues using system diagnostics
-
Work closely with other operators to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
-
Rotate across different machines and tasks to support team flexibility
-
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following 5S and safety standards
-
Use proper PPE and follow all safety protocols

Report production updates and issues to team leads and supervisors
-
Follow environmental procedures to reduce waste and impact
Requirements:
-
Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
-
Basic computer and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production procedures
-
Strong work ethic and reliability are a must

Able to lift, stand, and move throughout a shift

Must be available to start the week of August 25, 2025
Pay: $25.00/hour (Same rate for both shifts during evaluation period)
