Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling customer orders, resolving service issues, and working with vendors and account managers to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and provide exceptional support to internal and external customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately receives and enters customer orders, ensuring prompt and efficient processing.
  • Resolves customer service issues such as wrong items shipped and other inquiries with professionalism.
  • Collaborates with vendors and account managers to expedite orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manages job queues, open order reports, and return goods queues effectively.
  • Champions corporate marketing initiatives, including product launches and employee training events.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with account managers, customer service representatives, automation specialists, and vendors.
  • Processes repairs and returns as required for the location.
  • Verifies, acknowledges, and tracks customer information as assigned.
  • Provides support for transaction entry, tracking, and communication with customers.
  • Assists with researching and resolving customer issues promptly.
  • Provides back-up support for the Switchboard, Customer Service Representatives, or other assigned areas.
  • Balances location cash, makes deposits, and ensures accurate record-keeping.
  • Answers and directs incoming calls to the appropriate department.
  • Acts as the point of contact for visitors, vendors, and customers.
  • Coordinates meetings, customer events, and schedules meeting rooms as needed.
  • Represents the company professionally in all communications with internal and external customers.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain safety, professionalism, and a positive work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 1 year of clerical/office experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Training Requirements (to be completed within 6 months):

  • Understand the vision, goals, and objectives of the business unit.
  • Learn Company Business System Software, HRMS software, and CRM Software.
  • Complete internal safety training and diversity training.
  • Complete necessary continuing education to maintain knowledge of systems and programs.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily an indoor, controlled temperature office environment.
  • Occasional travel to internal or external customer sites, subject to environmental conditions.
  • Ability to handle varying noise levels and work in a competitive yet collaborative setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands to operate office equipment (computers, printers, telephones, etc.).
  • Ability to stand, walk, or reach as required by the tasks at hand.
