Job Full Description
Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for General Laborers for a Demolition Project!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with demolition and site clean-up at a local renovation project
- Tear down structures using hand tools and light power tools (e.g., hammers, crowbars, reciprocating saws)
- Remove materials such as drywall, flooring, brick, concrete, and wood
- Load and unload debris into dumpsters and trailers
- Operate wheelbarrows, pallet jacks, and other basic equipment for material handling
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free worksite throughout the day
- Follow direction from site supervisors and skilled trades personnel
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and handle repetitive physical tasks
- Comfortable working in active construction environments, both indoors and outdoors
- Able to work safely around heavy machinery and equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well
- Previous general labor, demolition, or construction experience is a plus, but not required
Hours:
- 7am – 5pm
- Monday – Friday
- 2 Week Temporary Project – Could be extended based on job performance!
- Monday August 18th – Friday August 22nd
- Monday August 25th – Friday August 29th
