Our client in North Liberty, IA is looking for a Construction Equipment Service Technician!
Position Summary: We’re hiring a Construction Equipment Service Technician for a well-established, family-owned company in North Liberty, Iowa. This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills and experience in small engine repair and construction equipment servicing. As a Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment, including but not limited to: Skid steers, mini excavators, backhoes, concrete saws, generators, compactors, mixers, and air compressors. Your work plays a key role in keeping critical jobsite equipment in peak condition for safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair small engines and a variety of construction equipment
- Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders
- Provide professional and courteous service to both internal teams and customers
- Keep the shop, tools, and work area clean, safe, and organized
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of small engine repair experience (required)
- Hands-on experience with construction equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, backhoes, compactors, and saws (preferred)
- Diesel engine experience is a plus
- Must provide your own tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical manuals
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Must be able to pass a background screen (required)
Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 7pm–4pm or 8am–5pm
Pay:
- $25–35/hour
- Pending Knowledge and Experience
