Our client in Independence, IA is looking for multiple Welders with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience!
Position Summary: This position involves fabricating custom metal projects with precision and care. You’ll be responsible for welding a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, using MIG, TIG, or Stick methods. Ideal candidates will have an eye for detail, be able to read blueprints, and work collaboratively with the project and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment to complete custom jobs with precision
- Weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel using MIG, TIG, or Stick techniques
- Cut materials to size using saws and other metal cutting tools
- Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate projects according to specifications
- Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure quality and timelines are met
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in basic math
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- Capable of measuring in inches, thousandths, and degrees
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen
Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 6am – 3:45pm
- Optional Overtime: Saturday’s from 6am – 11am
Pay:
- Entry Level (1 year) – $20/hour
- Moderate Experience (2–3 years) – $24/hour
- Highly Experienced (3–5+ years) – $28/hour)
