Job Full Description
Our Client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for (1) Driver for a 20 ft flatbed truck!
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicle to deliver electrical products and materials to customers on a consistent daily route
- Load and unload materials using appropriate handling equipment as needed
- Verify accuracy of delivery orders and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
- Maintain delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and represent CED professionally at all delivery sites
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding route progress or issues
- Assist with warehouse duties such as organizing inventory or preparing outgoing orders when needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Class D Driver's License with chauffeur's endorsment (required)
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance standards
- Previous route delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading materials
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable and punctual with a focus on safety and accuracy
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections
Hours:
- Monday - Friday, 7a – 5p
- Assignment sounds like it’s going to be close to 2 years, potentially longer
- Preferred Start Date: ASAP or Monday, 10/20/25 at the latest
