Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for an Assistant Property Manager!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a residential community while helping create a positive experience for residents and visitors. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supporting property operations, and ensuring compliance with applicable housing programs and regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, service-focused, and comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with resident interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, vendors, community partners, and visitors
  • Support resident services and help foster a positive living environment within the community
  • Maintain strong property presentation standards and overall curb appeal
  • Assist the Community Manager with achieving occupancy goals and managing property performance metrics
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and property operating procedures
  • Support compliance with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program requirements, including resident qualification and annual recertifications
  • Assist with internal and external documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Process and support basic accounting functions including accounts receivable and accounts payable activities
  • Maintain organized documentation related to resident files, financial records, and reporting requirements
  • Follow health and safety guidelines while supporting daily property operations
  • Perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous property management experience preferred but not required
  • Affordable housing or LIHTC program experience preferred but not required
  • 1–2 years of leadership, management, or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and financial tracking
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 9am – 5pm

Pay:

  • $19.00/hour
