Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Wash Bay/Yard Attendant!
Position Summary: Our client is seeking dependable Wash Bay/Yard Attendants to support daily operations in a busy construction equipment rental environment. This role is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and preparing rental equipment for the next customer while helping maintain an organized, safe, and professional yard and shop area. This client supports construction equipment rental needs and emphasizes local service and equipment support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, clean, and prepare rental equipment as it returns from job sites
- Check equipment for damage after rental use and complete all necessary documentation
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Scan rental equipment during deliveries and returns and manage related paperwork accurately
- Help maintain the appearance of the yard, wash bay, and shop by keeping all work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Complete paperwork and reporting associated with equipment returns, damage, and movement
- Support the team with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience loading, unloading, or transporting construction equipment is required
- Basic computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, as well as in a shop environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work overtime during peak season as needed
Hours:
- Monday-Friday
- 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Must be flexible for overtime, including some Saturdays during peak season
