Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Lab Cleaner!
Position Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Cleaner to support the cleanliness and organization of their laboratory environment. This part-time role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a spotless workspace and enjoys working independently. You’ll play an important role in ensuring the lab remains safe, sanitized, and ready for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize laboratory surfaces, equipment, and work areas
- Wash and properly store lab dishes and equipment
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
- Dispose of trash and lab waste according to safety guidelines
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify team when inventory is low
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage and work areas
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred (not required)
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a lab or industrial environment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
Hours:
- Part-time
- Monday – Friday
- 4 – 6 hours per day
- Flexible scheduling, preferably afternoons (example: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
