Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Medical Receptionist for a holistic wellness facility!
Position Summary:
This Medical Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for answering and transferring calls, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and supporting the daily flow of a busy wellness office. A strong emphasis is placed on patient experience, professionalism, and maintaining a calm, friendly atmosphere at all times. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a warm, welcoming environment and providing exceptional front-desk support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and comfortable handling a variety of administrative and patient-facing tasks while ensuring every visitor feels valued and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in patients with a warm, welcoming attitude
• Answer incoming calls and route or assist as needed
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Provide general office support and front desk coverage
• Maintain a clean, organized, and peaceful reception area
• Assist patients with questions and basic information
• Support smooth daily operations of the clinic
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Previous customer service or front desk experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Warm, friendly, and patient-focused personality
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable answering phones and using scheduling systems
• Prior medical office experience or knowledge of healthcare settings is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism
Hours:
• Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay:
• $20.00 – $23.00/hour
