  • Position Overview

    We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to support our administrative operations. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll—a function that directly impacts employee satisfaction and operational success. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, reliable, and adept at navigating multiple platforms and systems, all while handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Enter onboarding and termination data accurately across multiple systems
    • Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and timeliness
    • Review and validate employee time and attendance records
    • Maintain spreadsheets to track hours, payments, and compliance
    • Update employee schedules and system records as needed
    • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and perform basic HR support
    • Ensure payroll processes align with federal, state, and internal policies
    • Manage wage garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements
    • Enter and audit benefit enrollments and terminations
    • Collaborate with HR and leadership to improve payroll systems and processes
    • Assist with audits and resolve payroll discrepancies
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Previous experience in payroll, HR, or administrative support
    • Proficient in English; Spanish language skills are a strong plus
    • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Familiarity with payroll compliance; experience with Rippling or similar systems preferred
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
    • Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
    • Business-minded with a focus on efficiency and cost-awareness
    • Strong commitment to long-term employment and continuous improvement

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Work is performed in an office setting
    • Primarily sedentary role; may involve occasional standing, walking, or lifting (under 50 lbs)
