Our client is hiring for a Service Technician !!!


The Service Technician is responsible for responding to service requests promptly, with a goal of completing calls no later than the next business day. Technicians perform repairs and preventative maintenance in an efficient and professional manner. While on site, they also inspect all laundry room equipment and address any issues identified. Service Technicians may be required to participate in an on-call rotation and be available outside of regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide customers with clear repair recommendations, cost estimates, and preventative maintenance guidance.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to service and repairs.
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of other technicians through in-house programs.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe and functional condition.
  • Ensure the service shop remains clean, organized, and safe; report any accidents to HR immediately.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate parts and supply inventory for the department.
  • Process and submit warranty claims to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Support service staff with diagnosing and troubleshooting complex repair issues.
  • Manage service-related purchase orders.
  • Accurately record time entries and job tickets for both internal and customer work.
  • Provide supervision and oversight for service team members, including approving time off and monitoring attendance.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and effective communication (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, internet navigation, and parts lookup systems; ability to read technical diagrams.
  • Physical ability to move machines weighing 50+ lbs. using a dolly, and to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, standing, sitting, and driving throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Flexibility to accommodate reasonable adjustments for individuals with disabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience in laundry equipment service, or related mechanical/electrical repair work, preferred
