Our client is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to assist the HR team - $20/hr
The HRIS Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within the organization’s human resources information systems. This role involves maintaining employee information, processing system updates and changes, and conducting data audits to support compliance and reporting needs. The HRIS Specialist also provides day-to-day technical support to HR system users and works closely with HRIS leadership to maintain system functionality and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter, update, and maintain HR data within HR systems, including new hires, job or status changes, and employee self-service transactions.
- Perform routine audits and generate reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Support HR and Payroll teams by troubleshooting data or processing issues related to HR applications.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of training materials, job aids, and documentation related to HR system processes.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to promote consistent HR data management practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve HRIS-related issues and ensure smooth system operations.
- Partner with HRIS Analysts to provide system support, including monitoring data flows and integrations with related systems.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards using ADP Reporting or similar tools, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Participate in HRIS projects, contributing to testing, data validation, and process improvements.
- Work with cross-functional partners to enhance system performance and user experience.
Education:
- Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in HRIS, data management, or HR support preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS modules such as HR, Payroll, Benefits, or Timekeeping is a plus.
- Exposure to business or systems analysis is beneficial.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of HR systems, data flow, and process dependencies.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communicator with solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data reporting or query tools.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and alignment with organizational values.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, type, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- May occasionally need to work beyond standard business hours to meet deadlines or provide support.
- Professional appearance and communication required in all interactions.
- Occasional travel may be necessary for training or collaboration.
