Our client is seeking an experience Powder Coater!!
Position Overview:
The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing parts to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role includes loading and unloading the powder coat line, washing and prepping materials, performing quality checks, and properly storing powder. The Powder Coater will operate a forklift as needed and assist customers during drop-offs and pick-ups.
Schedule:
- 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Includes one 15-minute break and a 30-minute lunch
- Overtime available with approval
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all parts are powder coated to customer specifications while maintaining high-quality standards
- Apply powder coating using proper techniques and equipment
- Prepare metal parts by sanding, masking, priming, cleaning, and pretreating as required
- Load parts onto racks and adjust hanging patterns as needed
- Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within specified time limits
- Inspect parts for quality throughout the coating and baking process
- Assist with department operations, supporting team and mission success
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including basic equipment maintenance
Qualifications:
- Experience using electrostatic spray guns
- Experience operating hoppers
- Familiarity with handling dry powder coating materials
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Manipulate objects of varying weight
- Stooping/Crouching/Bending: Occasionally pick up lighter items or mark materials
- Dexterity: Position materials for forklift use or on powder coat line
- Walking: Navigate the shop and access forklift
- Sitting: Operate forklift safely
