CDL-A Lowboy Driver
Our client in Des Moines, IA is looking for a CDL-A Lowboy Driver!
We are seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver to operate a lowboy trailer for local equipment transportation. This position is ideal for a dependable professional who takes pride in safe driving practices, equipment handling, and providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment and materials.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment according to safety regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safe operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Complete equipment checks and report any maintenance concerns.
- Ensure loads are properly secured before transport.
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Lowboy, heavy haul, or equipment hauling experience preferred.
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Experience securing and transporting heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be dependable, safety-focused, and professional.
Hours
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift
- Local routes with daily home time
- Schedule may vary based on workload and deliveries
Pay
- $20+ (Depending on experience)
