Retail Inventory Counter
Our client is looking for reliable Retail Inventory Counters to assist with an upcoming store-wide inventory count!
When: THURSDAY 08/13/2026
Star time: 7a - until Finished
Pay $18.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count merchandise throughout the retail store.
- Use a handheld scanner to scan barcodes on merchandise.
- Scan fixture tags before counting items within each assigned section.
- Scan individual products and enter quantities when multiple identical items are present.
- Verify scanner totals and physically recount merchandise when prompted.
- Mark fixture tags with initials and item quantities as required.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Follow directions from the Count Leader and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the inventory process.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the inventory count.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the store.
- Ability to repeatedly scan and handle merchandise.
- Ability to work at a steady pace while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Reliable and dependable attendance is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable using a handheld scanner or electronic device.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- No previous inventory experience required; training is provided.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
