Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced CNC Setup/Operator for a respected manufacturing company in the Dubuque area. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented machinist who takes pride in precision work and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC equipment according to specifications
- Make tool wear offsets to ensure parts remain within tolerance
- Use precision inspection tools, plugs, and gauges to verify part quality
- Operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) as needed
- Change inserts and maintain tools in good working condition
- Mix coolant and monitor machine performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications:
- Previous CNC setup and operation experience required
- Strong understanding of quality inspection tools and measurement standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Dependable and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
Schedule & Pay:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:15 PM – 11:15 PM
- Overtime: 3:15 PM – 1:15 AM (paid lunch)
- Pay: $24.34/hour + $1.25 Shift Dif
