Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Specialized Recruiting Group has partnered with a respected local organization in Dubuque to identify a Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator.
This role is responsible for full-cycle payroll processing and supporting Human Resources functions including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. The position works closely with finance leadership and supports organizational goals through accurate payroll and effective HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for multiple entities; ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports for audits and tax purposes
- Administer employee benefits and serve as a primary point of contact
- Manage employee leaves of absence (FMLA, disability, etc.)
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations
- Enter payroll data into the General Ledger system
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of payroll and/or HR experience
- Experience with benefits and leave administration
- Knowledge of payroll systems (Sage a plus)
- Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills
