Job Full Description
A local organization in the Dubuque area is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to assist with general maintenance and public works support. This role involves hands-on work both indoors and outdoors and supports a variety of projects throughout the year. Equipment operation is required as needed but is not a full-time operating position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facilities and infrastructure
- Assist with seasonal work including snow removal, landscaping, and street maintenance
- Operate equipment as needed (training provided)
- Follow safety standards and properly use PPE at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Schedule:
- Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Monday–Friday
- Week 2: Monday, off Tuesday, then Wednesday–Saturday
