Heat Treater – Express Employment (Wichita, KS)
W are seeking a Heat Treating Technician to join a growing industrial team in Wichita. This entry‑level role (0–24 months experience) is ideal for someone motivated to learn, grow, and work hands‑on in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
🔧 Position Overview
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Heat Treater supports daily heat‑treat operations to meet customer specifications while assisting team members as needed.
🔥 Key Responsibilities

Prepare and load materials into furnaces, fixtures, baskets, and related equipment

Assist with operating and monitoring heat‑treat equipment according to written procedures

Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in all work areas

Report irregularities or equipment issues to supervision

Handle customer inventory responsibly to prevent loss or damage

Perform additional tasks as assigned
🧩 Qualifications

U.S. Citizen
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Basic knowledge of metallurgy and temperature processes
-
Ability to work any shift, including weekends

Ability to obtain/maintain forklift certification

Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills

Stand for extended periods in an industrial environment

Lift up to 35 lbs.
