Pay: 25.00 - 32.00
Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Overtime is available (50 hour work week is normal)
Temp to permanent

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Field Equipment Mechanic
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines, rolling stock, and heavy paving machinery.
- Field & Site Operations: Conduct field service, routine preventative maintenance, and emergency field repairs directly at regional jobsites to maximize equipment uptime.
- System Component Repairs: Perform routine servicing, engine overhauls, filter changes, and component replacements on high-use infrastructure assets (e.g., dump trucks, pavers, rollers, and excavators).
- Regulatory Compliance: Interpret work orders and ensure all completed maintenance logs and equipment fixes strictly satisfy company safety rules and US DOT regulations.
Core Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Typically requires 2+ years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanic experience working directly with commercial fleets or civil construction machinery.
- Site Credentials: Must possess a valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and Basic Plus safety certification required for industrial sites.
- Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs, and routinely work outdoors in extreme Louisiana temperatures.
- Pre-Employment Screening: Must hold a valid driver's license with clean transit records, pass a comprehensive criminal background check, and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
