Skilled Electrician
New Iberia, LA | Full-Time | Pay: $26-32/Hr. DOE
We are seeking a Skilled Electrician with strong commercial or industrial experience to join a local company in New Iberia.
Duties:
-
Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
-
Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or needed repairs
-
Plan and install wiring based on blueprints, job specifications, and electrical codes
-
Troubleshoot equipment and resolve electrical issues to prevent production delays
-
Inspect machines and equipment to ensure proper operation
-
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements:
-
5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
-
Knowledge of 12V, 24V, 120/208V, and 277/480V electrical systems
-
Experience with single-phase and three-phase systems
-
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
-
Ability to use hand and power tools
-
Basic computer skills
Preferred:
-
Journeyman electrician license or equivalent
-
Knowledge of data and fire alarm systems
-
Ability to work indoors and outdoors and perform physical labor including lifting, climbing, and pulling wire
