Material Manager position in Wareham!
The Material Manager will be responsible for the inventory control of all coach cars and locomotives parts and supplies. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Job Responsibilities
• Inventory control of all coach cars and Locomotive parts and supplies
• Inventory control of all supplies needed for employees and contractors day to day usage
• Proper storage of all inventory
• Keeping good records of incoming and outgoing inventory
• Working well with laborer to maintain shop inventory at an optimal level
• Working well with all shop employees to ensure inventory is controlled properly
• Ability to help implement and utilize a computer-based inventory control program
• Working closely with the Project Accountant to ensure that inventory costs are accurately expensed to the client and/or project
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned which may include mechanical tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must have great communication and organizational skills
• Must also be familiar operating forklifts and overhead crane system, after participating in the required training.
• Positive work history / personnel record
• Ability to work flexible schedules, and overtime
• Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process.
Pay is DOE $24-$24/hr temp to perm M-F 7a-3:30p
