Job Full Description
As a Production Worker, you are part of a team responsible for converting raw seafood into a finished product. This role requires you to perform various hands-on tasks and operate equipment to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is packaged and prepared for distribution.
Core duties and responsibilities:
Work on an assembly line to sort, clean, and process fish.
Visually inspect fish for quality and to remove foreign materials.
Operate production equipment, such as conveyor belts.
Weigh, label, and package finished seafood products.
Manually load and unload conveyer belt with product.
Palletize and wrap products for shipment.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
Follow all company and government health and safety standards, including HACCP protocols.
Report any equipment malfunctions or product issues to a supervisor.
Assist with the final cleanup of the production facility.
Skills and qualifications:
You must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a cold, wet environment.
Manual dexterity and attention to detail is essential for inspecting and handling fish accurately.
You must be able to work collaboratively with others on the production line and take direction from supervisors.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and potentially changing production environment is important.
You must show up for scheduled shifts, which may include overtime, especially during peak seasons.
Prior experience in the seafood industry or food manufacturing is beneficial.
1st shift: 5:30am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri
