Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Stand-Up Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team in Detroit. This role is essential to maintaining efficient operations by safely moving, organizing, and storing seafood and meat products in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a stand-up forklift to load, unload, and transport products within the warehouse
- Move products in and out of cold storage areas, including freezers and refrigerated spaces
- Accurately pick, stage, and organize orders for shipment
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation (FIFO)
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift (required)
- Valid forklift certification (preferred)
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
Schedule:
- Mon-Fri- 6am-2pm or when work is complete
