Job Full Description
- Location: Madison Heights, MI
- Employment: Full-time, contract-to-hire
- Shift: 1st shift
- Pay: $18–$19/hour, paid weekly
Main responsibilities
The job is essentially making sure the right materials get to the right production area at the right time. Duties include:
- Monitoring material requirements for current and upcoming production jobs.
- Pulling, staging, and delivering materials to production areas.
- Checking materials against work orders, job tickets, and production schedules.
- Tracking inventory/material availability and reporting shortages or delays.
- Coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and production employees.
- Checking material quantities, types, sizes, and obvious quality problems.
- Keeping storage and staging areas organized.
- Helping with inventory counts and material tracking.
- Labeling materials for specific jobs.
- Moving wood, foam, printed materials, substrates, and signage-related materials around the facility with a manual Pallet Jack.
- Prioritizing material movement according to production deadlines.
- Following shop safety procedures.
