Brazing Operator
1st: 6am- 2:30pm Monday- Friday
Pay: $16.50
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Brazing Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating the furnace, preparing and assembling parts for processing, performing quality inspections, and maintaining accurate production records.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate the furnace according to established procedures and production requirements.
- Properly assemble and prepare parts for furnace processing, ensuring all chips, shavings, burrs, and other debris are removed.
- Monitor and read furnace gauges to identify irregularities or equipment operating issues.
- Read and understand engineering prints, work instructions, and check inspection sheets.
- Use measuring instruments and gauges, including calipers and plug gauges, to verify part quality.
- Perform routine quality checks and accurately complete all required quality documentation.
- Properly identify and tag pans of parts to ensure accurate tracking and identification.
- Accurately record labor hours and production counts on labor tickets.
- Promptly report part quality concerns, production issues, or equipment problems to the group leader.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure the work environment remains free of hazards.
- Follow all established safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to read and understand prints, work instructions, and check sheets.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and plug gauges preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Good communication skills and the ability to report issues promptly.
- Excellent attendance and dependability are required.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
