Description of position:
You will perform a variety of skilled work in supporting the installation replacement and maintenance of water mains and services, as well as installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of water meters. This includes leading and directing other personnel to complete projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years of experience of a Journeyman Plumber, currently holding a Master Plumber license, or able to obtain within one year of hire.
- Experience with both water and natural gas plumbing
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing practices and codes
- Proficient with computers, technology, and applications (AMI, Customer Information Systems, Work Order, and Inventory management software).
- Ability to work independently
- Mechanical ability
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Job requirements:
- Must be willing to accept overtime assignments
- Work in inclement weather
- Submit to DOT required pre-employment testing
- Complete any required courses or training
- Must live within 20-miles from facility
