Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable and hardworking Tire Technicians for a local company in Cape Girardeau, MO.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with tire service experience who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, mounting, balancing, repairing, rotating, and replacing tires while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, rotate, and install tires on passenger vehicles, trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, punctures, and safety concerns.
- Repair flat tires and perform tire maintenance services.
- Remove and replace wheels and tires using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Operate tire changers, balancing machines, air tools, hydraulic jacks, and lifts safely and efficiently.
- Check and adjust tire pressure according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with basic vehicle inspections and identify potential tire-related issues.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders as required.
- Load, unload, and organize tire inventory and shop supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous tire service or automotive experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tire mounting, balancing, repair, and rotation procedures.
- Familiarity with tire service equipment and automotive tools.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tires weighing up to 75 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and work on concrete surfaces throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely and efficiently.
