Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate for a local company in Cape Girardeau, MO.
The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and maintaining inventory. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Perform quality checks to ensure order accuracy and product integrity.
- Support additional warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or order fulfillment.
Work Environment
- Warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility.
- Fast-paced environment with productivity and safety expectations.
- Overtime, weekend, and shift work may be available depending on client needs.
