Residential Cook / Kitchen Coordinator – $20.00/hr | Day Shift | St. Louis, MO
Job Summary
We are currently seeking Residential Cook / Kitchen Coordinator candidates for opportunities in St. Louis. This role is ideal for individuals with kitchen and cooking experience who enjoy working with people, maintaining a clean and compliant kitchen, and supporting clients in a residential setting.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Plan weekly menus in coordination with available supplies
• Organize time effectively to prepare and serve client meals
• Prepare meals for up to 15 clients, three times per day
• Store food and supplies properly and safely
• Maintain residential/commercial kitchen compliance with food inspector standards
• Keep kitchen and surrounding areas clean and organized
• Maintain kitchen inventory and order food and supplies as needed
• Complete food orders accurately and cost-effectively
• Communicate with staff to coordinate client meals and schedules
• Adhere to designated mealtimes for clients
• Maintain cleanliness of additional food storage areas
• Observe clients during meals to ensure needs are met
• Oversee completion of client kitchen-related chores
• Ensure appropriate snacks are purchased and available regularly
• Document food inventory and assist with cost-saving measures
• Treat all staff and clients with respect and professionalism
• Foster a positive and therapeutic environment for clients
• Perform miscellaneous tasks and other duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous cooking and kitchen experience
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook)
• Ability to complete documentation per licensure and facility standards
• Adequate and professional communication skills
• Serve Safe certification or ability to become certified
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Ability to coach clients as needed
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
