About the Role
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a full-time Food Manufacturing Production Lead (2nd Shift) for a growing food processing facility in Hazelwood, MO (63042).
In this hands-on floor leadership role, you will guide 2nd shift production associates, drive daily output goals, troubleshoot line bottlenecks, and ensure operations run safely and in full compliance with food safety standards. What You Will Do

Floor Leadership: Lead and direct 2nd shift production associates to consistently meet daily throughput, yield, and packing targets.

Operational Flow: Monitor line speeds, clear production bottlenecks, and reassign personnel as needed to keep active lines moving smoothly.

Team Coaching: Onboard, train, and mentor team members on equipment operation, standard work practices, and facility safety standards.

Safety & Food Quality: Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), plant sanitation guidelines, and quality assurance standards across the plant floor.

Production Tracking: Log daily attendance, track line productivity metrics, and complete shift logs in basic production tracking software.

Shift Reporting: Communicate daily yield metrics, equipment maintenance needs, and operational updates directly to plant management.
What You Need

Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment required.

Leadership Track Record: Minimum 6 months of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or plant setting.

Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for logging shift metrics, sending email updates, and tracking output data.

Shift Flexibility: Ability to complete initial training on 1st shift before transitioning to lead 2nd shift long-term.

Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active production floors continuously throughout the shift.

Reliability: Rock-solid attendance, strong communication, and reliable transportation to Hazelwood, MO 63042.
