Job Full Description

Medical office is seeking a Medical Receptionist to be responsible for the following:

• Perform administrative tasks along with greeting and registering patients
• Scheduling appointments
• Handling incoming calls
• Monitor daily schedules
• Process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes to include receiving, sending and distributing to the appropriate individual.
• Confirm patient appointments prior to exams and obtains all necessary records and patient information pertinent to the exam
• Record, review, and maintain office/patient files to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date. Utilize computer software to obtain patient records
• Prepare, assemble, and disassemble patient chart and jacket for exam.
• Maintain professional ethics and conduct in compliance with state and federal HIPPA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills required
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• One to two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•  Ability to multi-task is essential.
