Job Full Description
Express is looking 2nd Shift Machine Operators for a home appliance production facility in New Bern, NC.
Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Saturday, 8-10 hour shifts, temp to hire
2nd Shift: 4:30 PM to 3:30 AM, $15.25/hr
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 5-axis laser cutting machines for production runs
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Adjust machine settings (speed, power, focal point, angles) for optimal performance
- Monitor cutting processes to ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment
- Ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
- Maintain all equipment in good condition.
- Report on any production issues or defective parts.
Requirements:
- Must be able to comprehend and follow safety instructions and be able to take directions from a supervisor.
- Machine Operator experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail to follow manuals, drawings, and schematics precisely.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physically repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must meet background check requirements-no violent felonies or misdemeanors in the last 7 years.
- Must be able to pass drug screening requirements.
