Warehouse Associate
Job description
This is a full-time temporary position (you will be an Express Employment employee) with the potential to transition to a regular full-time position.
The Warehouse and Equipment Delivery Associate plays a key role in supporting the Company’s mission to supply and install commercial kitchen equipment nationwide. This role includes both warehouse responsibilities and limited travel for new store equipment deliveries and setup. This position has the potential to grow into a sales role to work with existing customers.
Ideal candidates are dependable, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment—both in the warehouse and during equipment set up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
- Pick and stage outgoing equipment and dinnerware orders
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if needed)
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts
- New Store Deliveries:
- Travel to new Golden Corral store locations to deliver and set up kitchen equipment
- Trips typically last 9 or more consecutive days
- Unload equipment, stage according to floor plans, and assist with on-site setup
- Represent Coastal Equipment Company with professionalism on job sites
- Logistics & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Communicate with warehouse and field teams to meet project timelines
- Ensure all materials are accounted for and safely delivered
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ year of warehouse, logistics, or equipment handling experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to travel for occasional installation projects (9+ days at a time)
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs
- Forklift experience preferred (certification provided if needed)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work in an open-air warehouse environment
