Job Full Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Driver's Assistant. In this role, the Driver's Assistant will assist with delivering sanitized containers and collecting secured containers containing sharps, medical materials, or similar hazardous waste. These materials will then be transported back to our treatment facility for proper decanting and disposal.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the driver with the safe loading and unloading of medical waste containers.

Help ensure proper handling, sorting, and placement of containers in accordance with safety and compliance guidelines.

Provide exceptional customer service by communicating courteously and professionally with healthcare staff during pickups and deliveries.

Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab and cargo area, ensuring a hygienic and organized environment.

Help the driver with navigating routes, verifying delivery documentation, and using handheld route management devices.

Report any incidents, delays, or route issues to the driver or supervisor promptly.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety protocols.
Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to lift, push, and pull containers weighing up to 100lbs consistently throughout the day.

Comfortable working around medical and hazardous materials with proper PPE.

Ability to follow safety, health, and compliance protocols.

Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with clients.

Reliable with good time management and organizational skills.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Valid driver’s license is a plus, but not required.

Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to route changes or delays.
