Job Full Description
Job Overview:
Express is seeking a lab tech who will be using various handheld and bench mounted measuring devices to determine product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct sample preparation for various destructive tests
- Perform tests for incoming and outgoing materials for company using the following:
- Particle Size Analyzer (PSD)
- Trace Analysis – ICP and Atomic Absorption
- Sieve Analysis
- Slurry Testing (viscosity, specific gravity, pH, ceramic retention)
- Various other pieces of equipment/testing methods
- Enter test data into spreadsheets and/or databases
- Report test data to quality and engineering as needed
- Process control audits as needed
- Conduct calibration on process control equipment
- Assist in testing for engineering trials
Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, and do basic mathematical problems.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision
- Must have good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and internal employees
- Must be computer literate, familiarity with Excel a plus
- Prior lab experience is preferred
