Responsibilities
- Check patients in and out while maintaining a friendly and professional environment
- Verify insurance information and assist with basic billing and coding tasks
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas for patient care
- Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating records
- Support the chiropractor during examinations and treatments by preparing equipment and rooms
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer general questions about procedures
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment areas in accordance with safety and hygiene standards
- Perform general housekeeping duties as needed
- Assist the doctor with daily tasks, including both office work and patient interaction
- Learn and properly execute office procedures and protocols
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chiropractic, medical, or healthcare office setting
- Proven experience with patient intake, scheduling, and front desk operations
- Hands-on experience verifying insurance and assisting with basic billing/coding tasks
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
- Experience maintaining accurate patient records and handling confidential information (HIPAA compliance required)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and clinical protocols with accuracy
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience specifically in a chiropractic or physical therapy clinic
- Familiarity with chiropractic therapies and rehabilitation exercises
- Prior experience assisting during patient treatments
