Job Full Description
OVERVIEW
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality metal components. Duties include machining, program adjustments, inspections, troubleshooting, and maintaining production schedules while following all safety and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
- Edit programs and make machine offsets as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Run multiple machines while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Fabricate fixtures and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Record production data and complete quality documentation.
- Maintain equipment, housekeeping, and workplace safety.
- Train and assist less experienced team members as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required; CNC Machining degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience with CNC programming and setup; GibbsCAM experience preferred.
