Job Full Description
Express is looking for a Part-Time Shelter Attendant to support the daily operations of a local animal care facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the facility, including animal enclosures, kennels, common areas, and laundry areas.
- Provide basic care for animals by feeding, watering, monitoring general well-being, and maintaining clean living spaces.
- Support front desk and shelter operations by answering phones, assisting visitors, and completing routine administrative tasks.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for animals, staff, and visitors.
- Follow established health, safety, and animal care procedures.
Requirements:
- Comfortable working with animals and able to interact with them in a calm, compassionate, and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in an environment with animal dander, odors, noise, and cleaning products.
- Previous animal care experience is preferred but not required.
