Job Full Description
Express is seeking a sewing who is able to put together patio umbrellas by hand and also operating an industrial pipe machine.
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric panels together according to specified patterns and dimensions.
- Ensure seams are finished neatly and securely to maintain high-quality standards.
- Perform manual assembly tasks such as attaching hardware, handles, and other components to complete umbrella assembly.
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when operating machinery and handling materials.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Occasionally assist in other production tasks and cross-train in different areas of umbrella manufacturing.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality in stitching and assembly.
- Able to stand, sit, bend, twist, squat throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Knowledge of different types of stitches and their applications preferred
