OVERVIEW
Express is seeking a Facilities Maintenance & 5S Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position is responsible for facility appearance, painting, workplace organization, 5S initiatives, and minor maintenance projects to support operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, repair, and paint walls, floors, doors, equipment, and other facility surfaces.
- Perform surface preparation including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Maintain floor markings, safety signage, labels, and visual controls.
- Support 5S initiatives through workplace organization, labeling, and standardization.
- Conduct facility inspections and assist with corrective actions.
- Complete minor facility repairs and appearance improvement projects.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory used for facility upkeep.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in painting, facilities maintenance, 5S, housekeeping, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and surface preparation techniques.
- Understanding of 5S principles and workplace organization practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, pressure washers, and hand tools.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work activities.
