An award-winning hotel management company seeks a Director of Sales for a long term stay hotel in Des Moines, IA. This role involves maximizing profitability through strategic sales and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key clients to drive group business, including room sales and catering services.
- Attend networking events and engage with local community groups and trade organizations to generate sales opportunities.
- Conduct site tours and maintain an up-to-date customer database.
- Prepare contracts and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage the departmental budget, monitor sales performance, and report on variances to management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience, with familiarity in the Des Moines market.
- Proficient in the sales processes of major brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Professional demeanor with integrity and a team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
