Position: Office Harvest Supervisor
Location: Bay City, Michigan
Classification: Non-exempt, Seasonal
Reports to: Harvest Project Manager


Overview:
We are looking for a Harvest Supervisor to support our seasonal operations. This role is responsible for coordinating staffing at assigned client locations during the Sugar Beet Harvest. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our clients are fully staffed and supported while also working directly with associates to maintain a safe and effective work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Harvest Staffing Coordination:

  • Conduct interviews and assess applicant skills and availability

  • Organize and process job applications and paperwork

  • Assign associates to appropriate roles and communicate key job details

  • Conduct job orientations and maintain crewing lists

  • Monitor associate performance and address issues as needed

  • Provide counseling or disciplinary action as necessary

  • Terminate unsatisfactory associates when appropriate

  • Maintain positive relationships with both associates and client staff

  • Support housing/campground coordination for associates (if applicable)

Project Support:

  • Assist with setting up and closing satellite office(s)

  • Maintain accurate inventories of application forms and documentation

  • Communicate daily updates with Harvest Project Management

  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace

  • Review Workamper arrival information

Other:

  • Additional duties as assigned to ensure successful harvest completion


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities

  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Basic 10-key and typing skills

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision

  • Comfortable working both indoors and occasionally outdoors at client sites


Preferred Skills:

  • Prior staffing, recruiting, or supervisory experience

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Experience handling performance issues in a professional setting
