Job Description: Project Manager – CAD Focus
Position Title: Project Manager
Position Summary:
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate design and engineering projects with a strong emphasis on CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems. This role requires a detail-oriented and technically proficient leader who can manage cross-functional teams, ensure project milestones are met, and maintain high standards in design documentation and execution. The Project Manager will work under the general direction of senior leadership and collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and client teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning and design through execution and delivery
- Oversee CAD design processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely completion
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align project goals and technical requirements
- Utilize project management and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) to track progress and manage deliverables
- Lead project meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction
- Maintain documentation, including design revisions, change orders, and project logs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in design workflows and project execution
Experience and Skills Required:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in project management with a strong background in CAD design
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Familiarity with engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or construction practices is a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Experience working in a technical or design-focused environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
