Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading all HR functions at the Fosston manufacturing facility. This role supports a diverse workforce and ensures compliance with employment laws while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment. The HR Manager partners closely with the General Manager and leadership team to align HR strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts.
- Support union relations and manage grievance procedures.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs.
- Partner with department leaders to forecast staffing needs.
Benefits Administration
- Manage employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
- Oversee open enrollment and assist employees with benefit-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, and other regulatory requirements.
Payroll & Compliance
- Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate processing and deductions.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Administer FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and leave of absence programs.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development initiatives.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy and generate reports for leadership.
- Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
